Funding News: Media organizations successfully find philanthropic help for their missions
Traci Bauer is the vice president/content for Adams Publishing Group, which includes more than 100 news organizations in small and medium communities across the U.S. She is a veteran editor and strategist who has led newsrooms and digital teams in several markets in the Gannett Company and USA TODAY Network before joining APG. Bauer began her career as a reporter in Springfield, MO, and worked her way through management, primarily in New York. She led multimedia strategy at Florida Today and spent more than a decade in Rochester, N.Y., where she was a managing editor of The Democrat and Chronicle, and later a digital content executive for Gannett. Bauer spent four years as the executive editor of The Journal News/lohud.com, in Westchester County, N.Y. She was Director of Journalism for KCUR, Kansas City’s NPR affiliate, for a brief period.
