Covering the Divide

Tony Baranowski recently moved on from 17 years at the Iowa Falls Times Citizen to a newly created position at the Cedar Rapids Gazette, where he’s leading the effort to build a foundation, coaching community newspaper sales reps and developing specials sections to support the Gazette’s impressive stable of journalists, not the least of which is his wife, Sara. Tony was part of the University of West Virginia’s inaugural group of NewStart fellows. The Baranowskis have twin 11-year-olds and like to spend their time outside the newsroom on trails or streams.
